The process of making brush filament
Today, various filaments produced from polyester plastics PBT and PET have excellent properties such as toughness, abrasion resistance, impact resistance, corrosion resistance, and oil resistance. It has been used more and more widely over the decades, and the scope of its application has become wider and wider. 1. Raw material smelting
The production of plastic filament is to mix two kinds of polymer (PBT, PET) raw materials in proportion, melt in the screw extruder and send to the spinning position, quantitatively send it to the spinning assembly by the spinning pump, filter, grow The filaments are extruded from the capillary holes of the spinneret.
2. Cooling and shaping
The liquid filament gradually solidifies after cooling, and is then drawn into a filament at high speed by the winding device below. At this time, processes such as drawing and shaping can be carried out to ensure that the filament has good dimensional stability.
3. Cutting and tapering
In the production process of drawing filament, the length of the filament is different when drawing and cutting, and there are many burrs at the cutting part, which can be cut as needed. Typically a bundle of plastic filaments is manually aligned and then secured to the cutting device. Cuts are made to cut the filament into different lengths. After that, the polymer is covered, which can then be tapered according to the customer's needs, and then the polymer is peeled off.
4. Cleaning and drying
After completing the previous steps of plastic filament processing, the next step is to wash and dry the processed filaments.
5. Packaging process
Then the plastic filaments are combed by workers, and the multi-color filaments are prepared in a fixed proportion, mixed evenly by the machine, and then combed by the workers.
Finally, the filaments are formed into different colors and sizes and packaged in cardboard and cartons. At this point, the plastic filament process is completed.
